Hand Milked Caviar

Buxton hand milked trout caviar is of premium grade.

 

One of the farms specialties is our premium hand-milked caviar which was used on Masterchef in 2011. By gently hand milking the fish only when they are fully ripe and the egg completely formed means the caviar will pop on the roof of your mouth with an explosion of flavor. The eggs are cleaned and nicely separated, then lightly salted using time honored methods to give a distinctive taste. We are one of the only farms in Australia which uses this method.

 

A delicious treat for any occasion. The bright pearl shaped eggs are a simple and exciting delicacy that can be enjoyed on French bread, crackers or blini with light accompaniments such as marscapone cheese, shallots, boiled eggs, onions and avocado. It is also an eye catching garnish for sushi and smoked trout.

 

Serve with a quality dry sparkling white wine or shots of frozen vodka.
